For the fourth year in a row, 2degrees is rated No.1 for customer satisfaction by its legions of very satisfied small business customers.
Our review compares telecommunications providers on customer satisfaction, so you can discover what other Kiwis think about our compared providers before you go ahead and decide to use one to help keep your small business connected. Think of it like asking hundreds of your friends and colleagues which small business telecommunications provider they think is best.
Canstar Blue surveyed 694 Kiwis who had paid for a mobile phone/broadband service for business purposes in the past 12 months and asked for their feedback on their provider.
Respondents rate their satisfaction with their small business telecommunications providers from zero to ten, where zero is extremely dissatisfied and ten is extremely satisfied. Brand satisfaction was rated by respondents on the following criteria:
The winning telco brand is the one that receives the highest Overall Satisfaction rating once all the scores from the Overall Satisfaction criteria are combined and averaged.
Brands must have received at least 30 responses to be included, so not all brands available in the market have been compared in this survey. The brands rated in this survey are listed below in order of best overall satisfaction.

This year marks 2degrees’ fourth consecutive win of Canstar Blue’s award for Most Satisfied Customers | Business Telecommunications. And, repeating its previous successes, 2degrees takes out top spot on our awards table emphatically, earning almost a clean sweep of top ratings across every measure of consumer satisfaction: 5 Stars in every category, except for Flexibility of Contract, for which it earns a great 4-Star rating.
In this year’s ratings 2degrees earns more 5-Star Ratings than Spark and One NZ combined – which is a clear indication of the great products, service and value for money it delivers to its thousands of very satisfied customers.

Rounding out this year’s award table, Spark earns a mix of 3- and 4-Star ratings. It earns its top ratings for Customer Service and Billing. In all other categories it earns 3-Star ratings.
While not a top rating, 3 Stars is by no means a measure of poor performance. Rather, a 3-Star rating indicates Spark’s customers are happy with the telco’s performance in those categories.

Canstar Blue surveyed 719 New Zealand consumers across a range of categories to measure and track customer satisfaction, via ISO 26362 accredited research panels managed by Qualtrics. The outcomes reported are the results from small business owners with mobile phone account(s) and/or fixed broadband with the same provider. In this case, 694 New Zealanders.
Brands must have received at least 30 responses to be included. Results are comparative and it should be noted that brands receiving three stars have still achieved a satisfaction measure of at least six out of 10. Not all brands available in the market have been compared in this survey. The ratings table is first sorted by star ratings and then by mean overall satisfaction. A rated brand may receive a ‘N/A’ (Not Applicable) rating if it does not receive the minimum number of responses for that criterion.
