Where to watch Formula 1
There are two main options for streaming Formula 1 races, which are:
- Sky Sport Now
- F1 TV Pro
Sky Sport Now
Sky customers have access to all 24 races and can be watched live, or, if you’re not keen on a 4am start, replay the action at a later time.
If you’re already a subscriber to Sky, you can add Sky Sport to your plan for $42 a month. However, if you’re not already a Sky subscriber, you have two options:
1. Subscribe to Sky
A basic Sky Starter subscription costs $25.99 per month on a 12-month contract, which includes installation of the box and a rooftop satellite dish. And the new Sky Box will cost you a one-off charge of $200.
For the price, you get access to the Sky Starter package, including all free-to-air channels plus family-friendly channels like Discovery, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central and MTV. You also get access to Sky Go, which allows you to stream all Sky channels online via the Sky Go website and app.
To add Sky Sport Now to the package costs $42 a month, which brings the total to $67.99, and that’s without the cost of the box. Plus if you want to be able to pause, rewind and record live TV, well, that’s an extra $15 per month.
However, it’s important to note that if you sign up for a Sky and Sky Sport Now bundle before April 30, you’ll receive the following discount:
- 50% discount for the first three months
- A free New Sky Box or Sky Pod
Plus, if you add Sky’s Fibre Everyday plan to your bundle, you’ll save an extra $10/month ($20/month if you add Fibre Pro).
2. Subscribe to Sky Sport Now
For sports fans who only want to watch sports, and are not interested in Sky’s other channels, Sky Sport Now is the perfect choice.
Sky Sport Now can be purchased independently of a Sky subscription – saving you money! And it doesn’t tie you in to any long-term contracts, meaning you can cancel your subscription at any time. Sky Sport Now can be purchased for:
- Week: $24.99
- Month: $49.99
- Year: $449.99
Sky Sport Now can be accessed through the Sky Sport Now app, or web browsers, meaning it can be streamed on almost any portable device. It can even be cast to your TV or played through an app on selected smart TVs.
Sky Sport Now also has a handy 24-hour playback feature, allowing you to scroll back 24 hours on all channels to watch sporting events you’ve missed.
F1 TV
2. Subscribe to F1 TV Pro
F1 TV Pro allows users to stream practice sessions, qualifying, and races ad-free, either live or on-demand. With live onboard cameras, viewers can opt to ride alongside any driver and switch at any time. Additionally, they can listen in on their chosen driver’s team radio, from last-second pit lane calls to epic over-the-line triumphs.
For newcomers, F1 TV Pro offers a seven-day free trial, after which they can subscribe on a monthly or yearly basis:
- Month:$14.99
- Year: $99.99
Formula 1 can be streamed via the F1 TV Pro website, iOS, Android, Amazon Fire, Roku and Chromecast.
2. Subscribe to F1 TV Access
Or, if you’re not fussed about watching Formula 1 races live, F1 TV offers live timing data and delayed race replays for a discounted rate:
- Month: $4.49
- Year: $99.99
Unlike F1 TV Pro, F1 TV doesn’t come with a seven day free trial.
