Car Insurance – 2011 Ratings
AA Insurance can’t be beaten for overall customer satisfaction
Young Kiwi drivers are putting themselves at financial risk by leaving their cars uninsured.
Depending on the severity of the accident, uninsured drivers can be liable to pay thousands of dollars for any damage they inflict on another vehicle, or the costs involved if someone is injured.
According to our latest survey, Baby Boomers are more on the ball with renewing their car insurance with only three percent letting their policy lapse in comparison to twelve percent of Generation Y respondents.
Canstar Blue has also found that AA Insurance has the most satisfied customers overall, earning them our most satisfied customers award for car insurance.
Our survey also looked at AMI Insurance, BNZ, Vero, Westpac, State Insurance, Tower and Lantern/NZI.
Along with their most satisfied customers award, AA Insurance shared a five star rating with Vero for clarity of policy.
Our results also show a remarkable display of good customer service from AA Insurance, Vero, AMI Insurance, BNZ and Westpac – who all received a five star rating for this category.
New Zealand drivers are also rather honest when it comes to road mishaps. Only three percent of surveyed Kiwis say they would claim to be the driver of a vehicle involved in an accident to protect the real driver.
Canstar Blue commissions Colmar Brunton Australia to survey 2,500 New Zealand consumers across a range of categories every few months to measure and track customer satisfaction. The outcomes reported are the results from customers of car insurance within the survey group. To qualify, the customer has to have an active car insurance policy in their name and pay the bills.
Results are comparative and it should be noted that brands that received three stars have still achieved a satisfaction measure of at least six out of 10.
