Plasma TVs – 2011 Ratings
New Zealand viewers prefer good ol’ fashioned high definition television
New Zealand TV viewers are continuing to enjoy their televisions in the comfort of their living rooms, unless they’re under thirty years old.
Only 17% of New Zealanders watch more content online than on their televisions. New Zealand males are more likely to seek out their favourite shows online than females, with one in every five watching a majority of their television online.
The big news is that while internet TV is growing, conventional TV still rules the living room. In our most recent survey, Panasonic came away with the honour of our Canstar Blue award for most satisfied customers for Plasma Televisions. Panasonic also won our most satisfied customer award for LCD Televisions – the results can be seen here.
Panasonic plasma TVs received a five star rating for overall customer satisfaction, value for money, performance, ease of use, and warranty and service.
Canstar Blue commissions Colmar Brunton Australia to survey 2,500 New Zealand consumers across a range of categories every few months to measure and track customer satisfaction. The outcomes reported are the results from customers who have bought plasma television within the survey group. To qualify, the customer has to have purchased a plasma TV within the last 12 months.
Results are comparative and it should be noted that brands that received three stars have still achieved a satisfaction measure of at least six out of 10.
