LCD TVs – 2011 Ratings
Panasonic LCD Televisions easy on the eyes, and easy to love
New Zealand owners of Panasonic LCD TV are the most satisfied with their product, our inaugural Canstar Blue survey has revealed.
Our survey also shows that 72% of surveyed New Zealanders watch more than two hours of television each day. This statistic rose in Dunedin, with a whopping four out of every five watching more than two hours every day. That’s still a slight figure in comparison to the four hours of television the average American watches per day, but it’s still upwards of 728 hours a year; reason enough to get a decent high definition television.
Panasonic has won our five star award for customer satisfaction for LCD Televisions. Panasonic also won our most satisfied customer award for Plasma Televisions – see the results here.
For LCD TVs, Panasonic received five stars for value for money, performance, ease of use, warranty and service, and overall customer satisfaction.
LG, Samsung and Sony were also popular choices for quality televisions, all receiving four stars for overall satisfaction.
The survey found that nearly a quarter of respondents had a weakness for the reality TV genre. Shows like Master Chef New Zealand have been incredibly successful, with the season finale of Master Chef achieving the highest average audience for a single show in 2011 so far.
Canstar Blue commissions Colmar Brunton Australia to survey 2,500 New Zealand consumers across a range of categories every few months to measure and track customer satisfaction. The outcomes reported are the results from customers who have bought LCD Televisions within the survey group. To qualify, the customer has to have purchased a LCD Television within the last 12 months.
Results are comparative and it should be noted that brands that received three stars have still achieved a satisfaction measure of at least six out of 10.
